• The Health Services Department provides the Longhorn Experience by empowering children and parents with the knowledge necessary to promote wellness and maintain healthy lifestyles; therefore preparing students for a successful academic and life experience. The Cedar Hill ISD Health Services staff is compromised of professional registered nurses (RNs), licensed Vocation Nurse (LVN) and certified Clinic Aides. We do not have a registered nurse on every campus, however we do have clinic aides that are housed on every campus except Cedar Hill High School and Collegiate Academy/HS and are closely supported and monitored by an RN supervisor. Our clinic aides have been trained in Basic Life Support, administration of medications, first aid and some procedures, and are skilled at rendering the appropriate care. The other campuses are staffed with an RN or LVN.
