Degrees and Certifications:
I am looking forward to my first year here at Cedar Hill High School.
Having taught previously in Irving and Lewisville, this will be my tenth year teaching.
After attending Texas State Technical College in Waco, and receiving my degree
in Automotive Technology, I spent 21 years working for TXU in their fleet department, repairing
their fleet of vehicles. It was there that I began my welding career, attending Mountain View College in Dallas. I then
began handling the welding responsibilities for work in substations as well as vehicles. After TXU, I worked 3 years for a
municipality in their fleet department, handling their repairs, welding and fabrication work. Then immediately prior to
becoming a teacher I was a shop foreman and lead technician for a mobility company, performing home and vehicle modifications,
as well as repairs for the mobility impaired.
In my spare time I enjoy restoring old houses and cars. I love anything I can improve, working with my hands, then
marvel at the finished product. It is much the same in working with students. I gain much satisfaction in watching
students grow and improve their skills either repairing or upgrading vehicles, or designing and building
something on their own.
I am looking forward to helping our students at Cedar Hill High School improve themselves and become productive
members of the Cedar Hill community.
