Degrees and Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree: English & History Certificate: English 7-12
Mr. Chris Coen
I grew up in Arlington, graduating from Martin High School in 2000. I then attended the University of Texas at Arlington, and by the time I graduated I had earned a Bachelor's degree in English and History with a minor in Medieval and Early Modern Studies, a wife and two sons. During this time, I worked as a paralegal in a tax law firm until the firm closed, then returned to get my certification as an educator. Over the years, I have worked as a private tutor, book editor, served as the chief literary editor for two different small literary magazines and worked for White Wolf Publishing and Sword & Sorcery Studios.
Counting this year, I have taught English I, English II, English II Pre-AP, English III and English IV, as well as dual-credit English, and I currently volunteer with Cub Scouts Pack 202 as the Arrow of Light Den Chief and Boy Scouts Troop 498 as an Assistant Scoutmaster as well as a USAA/BSA Archery instructor.
